Red Cross sets up shelter at Idaho City High School
The American Red Cross of Greater Idaho will be setting up a shelter in the Idaho City High School for students unable to be picked up by their parents due to the Karney fire.
According to Barbara Fawcett with the Red Cross, a Welcome Shelter will also be established at the School to support evacuees from the Robie Creek and Wilderness Ranch areas effected by Karney.
Firefighters have stopped the fire from burning more homes, but many are still threatened.
