Man charged with stealing high-end golf clubs
BOISE, Idaho (AP) -- Police investigating the theft of more than two dozen sets of high-end golf clubs, mostly from garages near a golf course in Eagle, have arrested a man after finding some of the stolen golf clubs for sale on Craigslist.
Eagle police traced the ads to 31-year-old Stephan Northness, who prosecutors say was on felony parole. Officers recovered several sets of clubs and police say Northness acknowledged stealing and selling the clubs.
Northness was jailed on Aug. 6 for a parole violation as detectives continued the investigation.
On Tuesday he was charged with five counts of burglary and five counts of grand theft. A judge set his bond at $100,000.
