Canyon Co. offices to go back to 5-day schedule
According to Joe Decker with Canyon County, the county's DMV and Driver’s License Unit are moving back to a 5-day work week beginning in October.
Starting October 1, both offices will be open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
"The DMV and Driver’s License Unit, which are operated by the Assessor’s Office and Sheriff’s Office, began a 4-day work week in March 2011," said Decker. "After an 18-month trial period, both Sheriff Chris Smith and Assessor Gene Kuehn concluded that a 5-day work week is a better model to serve the needs of the citizens of Canyon County."
