D.J. Harper named Mountain West offensive player of the week

The Mountain West has announced that Boise State sixth-year senior running back D.J. Harper was named Mountain West co-Offensive Player of the Week following his performance against Miami (Ohio), according to Joe Nickell with Boise State Athletics.

During the game Saturday, Harper scored a career-high four touchdowns, three rushing and one receiving. The runs were were from 1, 11 and 43 yards and he also scored on a 21-yard pass. He also rushed for a career-high 162 yards on 16 carries, averaging 10.1 yards per attempt, according to Nickell.

"The Cypress, Texas, native also added a two-point conversion, finishing with 26 points – the third-highest single-game scoring mark in school history and the most by an FBS player this season," said Nickell. "The mark also tied the MW senior class record and ranks as the fifth-highest total in league history."

His four touchdowns are the most by a Bronco since Doug Martin scored four times against New Mexico State in 2009.

Boise State ended up beating the Redhawks 39-12.
