Glenn Harbig began his Sunday morning surfing the Internet and eating bacon and eggs for breakfast in his recliner at his Avimor home.

With one glance to his right, Harbig's lazy Sunday became slighty more memorable.

"I hear this noise," Harbig said, "I look over and here's this bear standing up on it's paws, ripping the screen off the window and staring me right in the face."

Glenn called 911 to report the sighting. He says his nerves kept him from giving the police a vital piece of information.

"They asked me where I lived and I couldn't remember," the Avimor resident said laughing."I was a little bit rattled, yeah, what's your address, I don't know."

Hours later the bear nestled itself in a section of trees. With a handful of Avimor community members squinting up to see this furry brown animal, Idaho Fish and Game tried repeatedly to drug the bear.

Fish and game officers shot the bear with a tranquilizer dart but it did not knock him out and they say he will likely rest comfortably in the woods for much of the night.

Better resting comfortably in the woods, than clawing at Harbig's window.

Harbig now laughs about his encounter with a smile.

"Every time I'll have bacon I'll think of that bear."
