N. Idaho developer's bankruptcy dismissed
COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho (AP) -- A creditor on a multi-use project planned along the Spokane River in northern Idaho will be allowed to proceed with foreclosing on the site following a ruling in the developer's federal bankruptcy case.
The Coeur d'Alene Press reports a judge dismissed developer Harry Green's bankruptcy on Wednesday, allowing Liberty Bankers Life Insurance Company to proceed with foreclosure on the Post Falls property.
The firm is seeking $8.2 million.
The newspaper reports Green couldn't be reached for comment. He has previously declined to talk about matters involving the project, a 33-acre development that was billed as a new hub for the city's downtown before it ran into financial problems.
Green's company, Point at Post Falls LLC, filed for bankruptcy in federal court in December.
