One killed, five injured in pickup truck crash
MENAN, Idaho (AP) -- Idaho State Police say one person was killed when six teenagers were thrown from a pickup truck in a crash in Menan, Jefferson County.
It happened at 11:45 p.m. Sunday on the Menan-Lorenzo Highway when police say the driver lost control on a curve. The pickup went off the right shoulder and overturned.
According to police, the driver and all five passengers were ejected. None of the occupants were wearing seat belts.
Eighteen-year-old Keely Lance, of Rigby, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Nineteen-year-old passenger Trevor Davis, of Rigby, was flown to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls.
The 19-year-old driver, Timothy Merrill, of Rigby, and the other passengers, were transported to the hospital by ground ambulance.
The crash investigation is continuing.
