Former Rigby bank employee pleads guilty to fraud
BOISE, Idaho (AP) -- Federal prosecutors say a former employee of a Wells Fargo Bank in Rigby has pleaded guilty to embezzling more than $11,000 from the bank late last year.
Prosecutors say 26-year-old Carlos E. Juarez pleaded guilty Wednesday to one count of fraud from a financial institution.
Juarez was indicted in February and accused of embezzling and misapplying the money through a scheme that involved him arranging unauthorized loans from customer accounts.
He faces up to 30 years in prison and a maximum fine of $1 million.
He is scheduled for sentencing on Nov. 9 at the U.S. District Court in Pocatello.
