Idaho voters pass list of school funding measures
BOISE, Idaho (AP) -- Voters across southwestern Idaho approved tax measures to boost funding for their local school districts.
The Nampa School District won approval Tuesday for a $1.6 million levy after voters rejected a $3.6 million measure in March. With the lower amount, the district wanted to continue a previous supplemental levy, which means the measure won't result in additional property tax increases.
Voters also approved levies in Kuna, Wilder, Homedale and Notus.
In northern Idaho, funding measures proposed by three school districts in Kootenai County passed, while Potlatch voters approved a $1.3 million levy after a similar measure failed earlier this year. In southeastern Idaho, a Caribou County school district fell two votes short of winning support for a $5 million bond.
Proposed levies in American Falls and Buhl were approved.
