Charge expected for urinating in Portland drinking water
PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) -- The 23-year-old man who urinated in a Portland drinking-water reservoir will be arraigned Thursday in Multnomah County Circuit Court.
Records filed Tuesday indicate Joshua Seater will be charged with misuse of a reservoir.
The Oregonian reports Seater is eligible for community court, which means he'll likely face a punishment of community service.
The incident in June 2011 at the Mount Tabor reservoir prompted the Portland Water Bureau to drain the 7.5 million-gallon reservoir at a cost of about $36,000.
Water Bureau Administrator David Shaff says he's satisfied with the likely punishment.
