Nampa man arrested after 2 shot in Caldwell
CALDWELL, Idaho (AP) -- A 25-year-old Nampa man was arrested on suspicion of aggravated battery after a man was critically injured by a gunshot that traveled through him and struck a sleeping woman.
Caldwell police arrested David Salas Tuesday evening after investigating a shooting at a Caldwell garage at about 4 a.m. Tuesday.
Lt. Devin Riley says Salas was in the garage with several people when the man was shot. The bullet passed through the man and the wall into a house and hit a 27-year-old woman.
Police say the victims were dropped off at the emergency room at about 4:30 a.m. and later transferred to a Boise hospital. The woman was treated and released, but the man who was shot was listed in critical condition.
Police haven't determined a motive for the shooting.
