Bronco Nation preps for trip to Lansing for squad's opener against Michigan State
Thousands of Bronco fans will pack Spartan Stadium Friday night to root on Boise State as they open the 2012 campaign against a 13th-ranked Michigan State team.
Local travel agencies sold thousands of tickets and various trip packages to Bronco fans. Now, only four days from kickoff, Boise's Harmon Travel is all sold out.
"Dozens of folks we worked with are leaving tomorrow and making an entire vacation week out of the game," Bob Harmon, the owner of Harmon Travel said. "They leave Tuesday and go to the football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio, then to Detroit to take in the Lions game, then to the Henry Ford Museum, then to Lansing for the BSU game, and lastly a stop through Niagara Falls before coming home."
Harmon hopes the Broncos move to the Big East in 2013 won't hamper business.
As for away games in this 2012 season, Harmon said he's worked with numerous clients who are securing tickets for road contests against Southern Mississippi, Hawaii and Nevada in Reno.
