A teenager was found passed out in a Meridian ditch early Saturday morning.

"A 15-year-old Meridian boy hospitalized after a jogger found him passed out in a ditch in the Ten Mile/McMillan roads neighborhood early Saturday morning had a blood alcohol content level in excess of .24 — which is three times the legal limit for someone driving in Idaho, according to police reports," according to the Idaho Statesman.

Around 7 a.m. a jogger spotted the boy and called police. Both the jogger and a nurse who was driving by gave the boy first aid. The paper said that the boy was unconscious and missing items of clothing. He was transported to the hospital.

"Police also found prescription medication, half a bottle of brandy, and spice (synthetic marijuana) in the boy’s backpack, according to reports," said the Idaho Statesman.

Police spoke with the family, who said the boy was supposed to be at home that night.
