BOISE, Idaho (AP) -- A southwestern Idaho man charged with stealing 13 bikes from a professional women's cycling team as it was planning to race in a competition has pleaded guilty to two counts of grand theft.

The Idaho Statesman reports that 19-year-old Michael Lawrence on Friday pleaded guilty in 4th District Court as part of a deal with Ada County prosecutors who dropped 12 other felony counts of grand theft and one count of burglary. He will be sentenced on Oct. 26.

Police say Lawrence cut the lock on California-based Team TIBCO's trailer at a Boise motel May 22 and stole the bikes worth $110,000.

Despite fears the team would be without bikes for the Exergy Tour two days later, they were all recovered ahead of the starting gun.
