Motorcyclist killed in State Street crash this morning
Eagle Police and Ada County Sheriff's are investigating a crash involving a motorcyle that happened near the Shady Acres gas station on West State Street this morning.
The call came in to Ada County dispatch just before 7:30 this morning. The initial reports say that an adult male was driving a large Ford truck eastbound on State Street between Linder and Park. An adult male was on a motorcycle driving in the opposite direction.
The driver of the truck attempted to turn into the convenience store parking lot and collided with the motorcyle.
Investigators say the motorcyclist was killed instantly. The driver of the truck was not injured.
The motorcyclist was wearing a helmet.
The Ada County Coroner will release the name of the motorcyclist after all necessary notifications are made. The investigation into the case is ongoing.
