Boise Police receive grant to pay for extra DUI enforcement over Labor Day
Boise Police have received a $4,000 grant from the Idaho Transportation Department to pay for overtime for extra DUI patrols over the Labor Day weekend. The money will pay for the extra enforcement from Aug. 25 to Sept. 8.
"August has the highest rate of fatal and serious injury crashes and drunk driving is a contributing factor, according to state statistics," said the Boise Police.
ITD is partnering with many local law enforcement agencies across the state to provide funding for education effort and increased patrols.
