Police: S. Idaho man's punch cost other man vision
TWIN FALLS, Idaho (AP) -- A south-central Idaho man has been arrested on battery charges stemming from an April altercation at a Twin Falls bar, where police say he punched another man and caused him to lose vision in one eye.
The Times-News reports 24-year-old Jacob Geno Caputo was being held Thursday on a $5,000 bond.
Police say officers responded April 3 to reports of a fight at Woody's Bar and spoke with a man who claimed Caputo hit him in the face. The man was hospitalized with a ruptured right globe.
Caputo told police the man had been bothering him, his girlfriend and her friend. The man denied those allegations, telling police he went out of his way to avoid confrontation, standing behind the bar.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Aug. 31.
