Meridian school counselor charged in porn case
MERIDIAN, Idaho (AP) -- A middle school counselor in Meridian has been charged with 10 counts of felony sexual exploitation of a child.
Boise police arrested 45-year-old Mark Saltzer early Saturday. His arrest followed a search of his home Friday night during which officers allegedly found multiple illegal images involving children on his computer.
The 10 counts of sexual exploitation are the result of a federal investigation. Saltzer was arraigned in 4th District Court Monday and is being held on a $1 million bond.
Saltzer was a counselor at Meridian Middle School and had worked at the school since 2007. The Meridian School District says Saltzer was placed on administrative leave.
