Body of man who jumped off bridge found
IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (AP) -- Officials in Bonneville County have recovered the body of a 76-year-old eastern Idaho man who jumped into the Snake River from a bridge in Idaho Falls last week.
Sheriff Jeff Edwards says the body of Gerald Wilkinson of Idaho Falls was recovered Monday morning near South Tourist Park, on the southern edge of the city.
Wilkinson's wife called 911 shortly after 9 a.m. on Aug. 16 to report her husband had stopped their vehicle on the Pancheri Bridge, got out of the car and stepped over the railing into the river below.
