Officers looking for suspect in Island Park shooting
ISLAND PARK, Idaho (AP) -- Law enforcement officers in southeastern Idaho are looking for a man suspected of shooting another man in the leg and foot in Island Park.
The shooting was reported at 1:30 a.m. Monday after a woman pulled over to the side of the road to help with what appeared to be a car accident. A man told her his friend had been shot.
The two men identified the suspect as 34-year-old Jerrod Hillman of Madison County. Hillman is described as being 6 feet tall and 195 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. He is considered armed and dangerous.
The victim was flown by air ambulance to an Idaho Falls hospital where he underwent surgery Monday morning.
