POCATELLO, Idaho (AP) -- A $4.6 million runway reconstruction project is under way at the Pocatello Regional Airport.

Officials tell the Idaho State Journal that crews started rebuilding the airport's secondary runway on June 25.

Airport Manager David Allen says there will be no disruption of service during the work.

He says work involves removing the existing runway and shoulders, putting down new pavement with drainage improvements, and putting in new runway lights and signs.

Work is expected to be finished by Oct. 1.
