Utah man dies in central Idaho motorcycle crash
SALMON, Idaho (AP) -- Idaho State Police say a 72-year-old man from Sandy, Utah, has died after a motorcycle crash in central Idaho.
Police say Jay Mason was traveling north on U.S. Highway 93 about 15 miles north of Salmon on a Harley Davidson when he failed to negotiate a curve at about 11:30 a.m. Friday and went off the right side of the road.
Police say Mason was taken to Steele Memorial Medical Center in Salmon where he died from his injuries.
The crash is under investigation. Police say Mason was wearing a helmet.
