Body found floating in Kuna canal Monday morning
Police are reporting a body found floating in the New York Canal.
The call came in at around 8 a.m. Monday morning. The canal is located just north of Falcon Crest Golf Course.
"Detectives say it appears to have been in the water for an extended period of time, making even a preliminary identification about sex, age, etc. impossible," said Andrea Dearden with the Ada County Sheriff. "Members of the Ada County Sheriff's Dive Team will be on-scene later this morning to complete the recovery and search the water for any evidence that may be nearby."
According to Dearden, the Sheriff's office are working with other law enforcement agencies to see if the body could be related to any cases in other jurisdictions.
No new details will be released at least until the body is recovered.
