Idaho woman killed in crash with Utah commuter train
MURRAY, Utah (AP) -- Murray police have identified the person killed in a collision between a car and a commuter train as a 72-year-old Idaho woman.
Police spokesman Kenny Bass says Lorna Boguslawski of Jerome, Idaho, died on the scene of the crash about noon Wednesday. Her 73-year-old husband Karren Boguslawski was taken to a hospital in stable condition.
Utah Transit Authority spokesman Gerry Carpenter says the crash happened when the woman's Honda CRV drove around crossing gate arms against a red TRAX light.
The train struck the driver side of the car, pushed it into a concrete barrier and dragged it about 100 yards.
