Eagle and Amity intersection to close until September 16
The Ada County Highway District is busy replacing a four-way stop with a roundabout at the intersection of Eagle and Amity roads.
A complete closure of the Eagle and Amity intersection will go into effect at 7 a.m. on Sunday, August 19 and will allow the contractor to begin building the roundabout. The closure will be in place through September 16. Motorists on Eagle Road will be detoured to Cloverdale or Locust Grove roads; Amity Road motorists will be detoured to Victory or Lake Hazel roads.
The one-lane roundabout is being constructed at the Eagle and Amity intersection with the possibility for expansion to two lanes in the future. Currently, 1,100 vehicles pass through the intersection during the busiest hour of the day.
The $700,000 roundabout project is anticipated to be completed in November.
