Del. sends another crew to battle Western wildfire
DOVER, Del. (AP) -- The Delaware Forest Service for the second time this summer is sending a crew to help fight wildfires in the western United States.
A group of 20 volunteers mobilized at Blackbird State Forest on Monday night in preparation for their departure Tuesday from Harrisburg, Pa.
The crew currently is assigned to the Cave Canyon Fire, an 8,800-acre blaze 15 miles southeast of Twin Falls, Idaho.
In June, Delaware sent a 20-man team that helped fight the Arapaho Fire near Wheatland, Wyo., that burned more than 88,000 acres.
