Chris Petersen named as one of Sporting News' top 124 FBS coaches
Sporting News has released their list of top 124 FBS coaches, and they have Boise State Coach Chris Petersen at #2.
Peterson is ranked only behind Alabama coach Nick Saban.
According to the rankings, "But for the Broncos’ one-point loss at home to TCU last November, we’d have had to have thought long and hard about putting Petersen at No. 1."
The top 5 was rounded out by Ohio State coach Urban Meyer, LSU coach Les Miles and Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops.
The study also said that "The six BCS leagues don’t have the best six collections of coaches, according to our rankings."
