BSU squeezes in first preseason football poll
The Boise State football team has been ranked No. 24 in Athlon Sports’ Preseason Poll.
Additionally, 10 Broncos have been named to the magazine’s Preseason All-Mountain West Team, including the following first-team selections: wide receiver Matt Miller, offensive lineman Charles Leno, defensive lineman Mike Atkinson, linebacker J.C. Percy, defensive back Jamar Taylor and punt returner Mitch Burroughs.
Second-team selections included running back D.J. Harper, offensive lineman Joe Kellogg, defensive lineman Ricky Tjong-A-Tjoe and defensive back Jerrell Gavins.
The Broncos’ wide receivers, offensive line and defensive backs units were deemed the best in the league.
The Athlon Sports Preseason Poll is counting down toward the release of its annual preseason annual, which is scheduled to hit retail locations June 12.
