The Juvenile Probation Department has partnered with Canyon County Parks Recreation and Water Ways, community organizations and businesses to build a 9-hole Disc Golf course near Lake Lowell.

Gem State Disc Golf Association has offered their support and designed a course that will be fun and challenging. The course will be located at Lake Lowell at the Upper Dam Park. This is just across the street from the lake and is a great place for those in the Treasure Valley to enjoy the outdoors of Canyon County.

This project will provide the youth in the Treasure Valley, specifically Canyon County, an alternative outdoor recreational activity that is a safe and healthy sport that can be played with friends and family. The project will also provide an opportunity for the youth of Canyon County to work together with community volunteers to install this course and assist with the continued maintenance and improvements of the course.

To get this project off the ground the county must raise $1,500. That money will cover the cost of the tee off pads, signs and the Disc Pole Holes. They plan to open this course this spring.
