City of Nampa says their fountain will not be turned on this summer
The City of Nampa has announced that the fountain next to the old Public Safety Building will not be able to be turned on this year.
Pumps that operate the water have failed and would be a very costly repair. The fountain is scheduled to be removed this summer as part of the demolition that will make room for the new Library and new businesses. The repair expense would be difficult to justify given the fountain could only operate for a few weeks.
There are plans to install a similar fountain in the near future.
