Boise Police bust businesses and minors for alcohol violations

Last weekend Boise Police conducted alcohol enforcement and compliance checks across Boise.

Eighteen citations were issued for various violations. Four minors 17-18 years of age conducted the compliance checks on 14 Boise businesses. Five of the businesses sold alchohol to minors. The minors, working with police, also conducted a shoulder tap where 3 different individuals purchased alcohol and provided it to them.

Overall 8 subjects were cited for providing alcohol to a minor. Out of those 8 violations, 5 of them were businesses and those will be forwarded to ABC.

The businesses who provided alcohol to minors were Woody's Bar and Grill on Vista, Jackson's at Fairview and Liberty, Jackson's at Fairview and Mitchell, Emerald Lanes at Emerald and Orchard and Chevron at Curtis and Franklin.

Other citations for the operation included 2 underage drinking citations (one of them was 16 years old and was a .17 BAC, 1 drug paraphernalia (also a 16 year old minor), 6 tobacco violations and 1 open container of alcohol.
