Girl killed in E. Idaho collision
SODA SPRINGS, Idaho (AP) -- Idaho State Police say a 9-year-old girl has died in a two-vehicle collision in eastern Idaho.
Police say the collision occurred Friday evening on State Highway 34 north of Soda Springs and that the girl was a passenger in a 1998 Cadillac Seville driven by 45-year-old Dwight H. Lloyd of Wayan.
Police say Lloyd's vehicle was struck by a 2007 Dodge Ram 3500 driven by 46-year-old Richard K. Hunsaker of Soda Springs.
Lloyd was transported to Caribou Memorial Hospital with what police say were non-life threatening injuries. Hunsaker was not seriously injured.
Police say the girl died at the scene. Her name has not been released.
Police say alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash that remains under investigation.
