Flood advisory issued for Ada, Canyon and Owyhee Counties
The National Weather Service has issued the following flood advisory -
Heavy rainfall is causing urban and small stream flooding in Eastern Canyon from the Interstate southward to a small portion of Owyhee County near Reynolds and Murphy.
The area of rain causing this is moving slowly eastward and will move across most of Ada County through the mid-morning hours.
Please watch out while driving and slow down, hydroplaning is likely.
Most flood deaths occur in automobiles. Never drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the roadway. Flood waters are usually deeper than they appear. Just one foot of flowing water is powerful
enough to sweep vehicles off the road.
