The Elmore County Sheriff's Office said 20 year old Donald Lee Reynolds of Rupert died early this morning on I84 when he failed to negotiate a right-hand curve while traveling westbound near milepost 97.5.

Elmore County Sheriff's say Reynolds, driving a GMC Canyon pickup truck, was not wearing a seatbelt. He went off the left shoulder of the roadway, traveled through the median for approximately 600 feet, then re-entered the westbound lanes.  Reynolds was unable to maintain control of the vehicle and it again left the roadway and entered the median for a second time.  The vehicle then overturned, rolling several times and came to a rest on its roof.

Reynolds was ejected from the vehicle and sustained significant injuries.  He was pronounced dead at the scene.  No airbags were deployed.

Preliminary investigation indicates that alcohol was not a contributing factor in the crash.
