Meridian man arrested for selling and passing stolen property

A Meridian man was taken into custody last night in Garden City following a two month investigation throughout the Treasure Valley.

Roger Lee Gibbs, 26 of Meridian, was arrested last night in Garden City around 9:45 p.m.

According to police, Gibbs has been selling and passing stolen property as well as forged checks throughout Treasure Valley communities. Investigators working the case believe Gibbs to be responsible for several thousand dollars worth of stolen property and forged checks between Ada and Canyon Counties.

At the time of his arrest, Gibbs was in possession of several credit cards that did not belong to him.

Gibbs was charged with three counts of felony possession forged checks, two counts of felony grand theft and driving without privileges.
