Super Tuesday proved to be not only a big day for Mitt Romney's presidential dreams but also for social media.  More than 530,000 comments were posted over a 24 hour span easily making the night the most talked about primary or caucus night of the campaign.

Comments from men made up almost 70 percent of comments about Super Tuesday on Twitter and Facebook.

The number of comments hit a peak during Rick Santorum's speech to voters in Ohio and surged again while Mitt Romney addressed supporters in Boston.
