The Canyon County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously on Monday, Feb. 27, 2012, to approve new precinct boundaries and commissioner district boundaries in Canyon County.

The new precinct and commissioner district boundaries will apply to the upcoming Primary Election scheduled for May 15, 2012, but not to the upcoming school levy elections on March 13. Instead, the existing precincts and polling places will be used for the March elections.

Please note that residents who plan on voting in the March 13th school levy elections will vote at their usual polling places. School districts holding levy elections include: Caldwell, Middleton, Meridian, Notus, Nampa, and Vallivue. Voters in Caldwell School Zone 3 will also be voting on a Trustee recall.

Electors in these school districts will receive a notice in the mail directing them to the correct polling location. Notices will be sent out one week before the election and should be received by Saturday, March 10th. Because polling places will change for some electors, a similar notice will be mailed one week before the May 15th Primary Election.
