Utah fugitive on the run arrested in Idaho

The U.S. Marshals’ Greater Idaho Fugitive Task Force (GIFT), working with the U.S. Marshals in Utah, arrested Edward Trujillo around 6:30 p.m. yesterday in Meridian. Trujillo is wanted in Salt Lake City, Utah on multiple charges of Sodomy upon a Minor.

At the request of the Unified Police Department of Greater Salt Lake, the Marshals in Utah adopted the fugitive investigation into Trujillo’s whereabouts and requested assistance from Boise area Deputy U.S. Marshals.

Investigators with the GIFT Task Force found Trujillo in a residence in Meridian and arrested him on the Utah charges. Trujillo is currently in the Ada County Jail and is facing extradition back to Utah. Trujillo’s criminal history includes a 1989 conviction for Lewdness Involving a Child.
