Postal Service proposes big changes
The United States Postal Service is desperately trying to save itself.
It's now talking about raising the price of stamps from 45 to 50 cents. The government agency has already proposed closing hundreds of post offices and processing facilities across the country and canceling Saturday deliveries to save money.
Last year there was a 2 percent decline in mail volume thanks to the internet and people paying bills online.
By 2015, the U.S. Postal Service could lose 18 billion dollars annually.
