Beat Coach Pete scheduled for April 14, proceeds to go toward scholarship fund
Boise State University head football coach Chris Petersen will be again running in the Beat Coach Pete Scholarship Run/Walk on April 14. Proceeds from the race provide scholarships for Boise State students.
Registration is limited to 2,000 runners/joggers and 1,500 walkers, and participants are encouraged to sign up early.
The family friendly event begins at 9:30 a.m. at the Boise State Student Recreation Center. The 3-mile race winds through campus, along the Boise City Greenbelt and finishes on the blue turf in Bronco Stadium. The event encourages Bronco fans to come out and show support for their university. Watch for guest appearances by Wolverine, the Incredible Hulk and the Flash.
Coach Pete and the Boise State Broncos will greet fans and supporters after the race.
To date, the Beat Coach Pete Scholarship Run/Walk has raised more than $98,000 in emergency funding scholarships.
