Two Boiseans arrested after stealing more than $700 in merchandise from local store

Boise Police arrested Randall Johnson 2nd, 21of Boise and Brittany Veach, 20 of Boise, yesterday after receiving a report of a theft at a local merchant.

At around 3:00 p.m. yesterday, investigators received a report of a theft at a retail store on West Franklin. Store employees tell police that they witnessed the suspects conceal several pairs of jeans and then leave the store without paying for the items. Officers confronted the suspects in a nearby parking lot and recovered more than $700.00 in stolen merchandise that had been taken from three different stores in Boise.

Officers had already been investigating the suspects in connection with several other retail thefts beginning earlier this month. At the time of arrest officers recovered two stolen credit cards. Officers also recovered a pipe used to smoke marijuana.

Johnson was charged with burglary, grand theft, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving without privileges and Veach was charged with burglary.
