Boise planners recommend changes for urban gardens
The City of Boise Planning and Development Committee has recommended to change the limits on "urban gardens" within the Boise city limits.
The amount of chickens one property can house now is six chickens and six rabbits. They have also changed the restrictions for beekeepers and bee colonies. This would remove the 12 colony maximum and defines and creates an allowance for nucleus colonies.
"Community garden" has also been defined and they are allowing them to have temporary produce stands.
The recommended changes will now go to the Boise City Council for approval.
