Fatal plane crash at Boise Airport
A small plane has crashed at the Boise airport. Boise Airport spokeswoman Patti Miller says this happened just off the east runway before 9 a.m. and that it is a private Piper Lancer aircraft.
There was one person on board, and Miller has confirmed that one person has died.
The airplane is described as an experimental fixed wing single engine Lancair.
Ada County dispatch says it received reports of a small plane that was on fire before it landed.
No information on the cause of the crash or the victim was immediately released. The airport remained open with one runway in use.
