Emmett man arrested for allegedly stealing more than $200,000 from his employer
Boise Police received a report of suspected fraud from an employer on the 500 block of South Vista Avenue February 1, just before noon.
Through the course of the investigation, Boise Police Financial Crimes Detectives obtained evidence that Jess McGinley, 46 of Emmett, an employee at the time, had used computers to defraud the company and obtain money.
Evidence indicates this activity has taken place over a period of at least three years and the suspect may have taken more than $200,000 from the business. The Better Business Bureau has Mr. McGinley's employer listed as Tates Rents in Boise.
After a detailed investigation, the suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the charges of Grand Theft and Use of a Computer to Defraud.
