Boise State holds its Engineering Extravaganza and Discover Engineering Day this Saturday
Boise State University’s eighth annual Discover Engineering Day will give families a chance to meet former astronaut Barbara Morgan, build a Bristle Bot or a NASA heat shield, ride a bicycle generator, design a bridge, experience a wind tunnel or a portable planetarium and more from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, in the Boise State Engineering Complex, 1375 University Drive.
All events are free; free parking is available in the Lincoln Avenue Parking Garage.
Saturday’s event, dubbed “Be an engineer for a day,” brings thousands of people to campus each year and is designed to inform, entertain and inspire.
The day includes dynamic activities and interaction with engineering students, faculty researchers and industry experts, all in an effort to get children interested in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
