Parma police chief to announce run for Canyon County Sheriff
According to the Idaho Press Tribune, Parma Police Chief Albert Erickson will formally announce a bid for Canyon County Sheriff this Saturday at 4p.m.. Erickson has had a 23-year career in law enforcement.
Current Sheriff Chris Smith has said it will be his last term, and Erickson will be running as a Republican. Two other candidates have already announced their intentions to run.
The primary elections will take place May 15.
