Boise Police: Church burglary suspect now in custody in Georgia
The man wanted for burglary and petit theft in connection with crimes committed recently at two local churches is in police custody in Georgia.
Timothy Michael Brown, 18, of Boise, is being held on the warrant from Ada County and is expected to be extradited back to Boise to face the charges, according to Boise Police Department spokeswoman Lynn Hightower.
Detectives learned late last month that Brown is in custody at the McIntosh County Detention Center in Darien, Georgia. “Details on how he came to be in the custody of Georgia authorities is not known at this time. Timing of his extradition back to Ada County will be handled by the appropriate courts,” Hightower said, in a news release.
"We had a lot of community interest in this case and a lot of Crime Stoppers tips trying to help us identify this suspect. We very much appreciate citizens help in finding a suspect who is accused, not only of taking property that doesn't belong to him, but of violating the security of our community's places of worship as well," said Sgt. Randy Buzzini of the Boise Police Property Crimes Unit.
