Boise Police are investigating a man's report that two men entered his home Thursday afternoon, battered him with brass knuckles, then left.

According to BPD spokeswoman Lynn Hightower, officers received a call at 2:50 p.m. from a man reporting two black males wearing dark “hoodies” had knocked on his door. The man says when he opened the door, the two suspects forced their way in. “One suspect had a set of brass knuckles and hit the victim, a man in his thirties, in the face,” Hightower said. “The victim received what appears on scene to be minor injuries and is being taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.”

Detectives say the break-in was drug related. Officers found the suspects took only drugs -- including marijuana -- from the home. Officers believe the home was specifically targeted because of the presence of drugs, although the victim says he did not know the suspects.

Officers responded to the area, off Juanita Street between West Boise Ave. and West University Drive, but were unable to locate anyone matching the description of the suspects.
The case is still under investigation.
