Governor Otter was on hand Monday at Gowen Field in Boise to welcome back 50 members of the 116th Cavalry Brigade Combat Team from their yearlong mobilization and deployment to Iraq.

The soldiers have been out-processing at Joint Base Lewis-McChord for the past week or so.

Monday’s return to Boise was the second charter flight with a large number of soldiers, although soldiers have been returning to airports around the state on commercial flights for over a week.

This same charter flight unloaded some 20 additional soldiers in Twin Falls and 20 more in Idaho Falls Monday afternoon.
