Know a veteran in the Treasure Valley who is in need of a new rooftop?
A local roofing company is now accepting nominations. It's Rooftops Energy Solutions in Boise that's donating the supplies and man-hours.
"My best friend from high school, he was killed in action in Afghanistan. So, we chose to go that route [as a way to give back to the community]." says Ken Crotz III with Rooftops Energy Solutions. "I know that there's a lot of people that have been less fortunate than my family as far as veterans go. We'd really like to help those folks out."
Any U.S. military veteran is eligible to put their name in the drawing. You will just need to provide your DD214 number.
Anyone who's interested in filling out an application has until April 30. The winner will be drawn on May 1.
